Griast enk! How lovely of you to drop by. We are the Girtler family, your second generation hosts at Hotel Jaufentalerhof near Vipiteno/Sterzing. As South Tyroleans attached to our home, we live and love the Valgiovo/Jaufental valley, whose beauty is obvious: vast coniferous forests, gentle alpine meadows, rugged mountain peaks and rustic villages form the breathtaking backdrop around Hotel Jaufentalerhof, our hotel in Racines/Ratschings in the Valgiovo/Jaufental valley. Anyone spending their holidays here has found a place where time stands still – far away from the tourist strongholds. Our hotel’s superb location near Vipiteno/Sterzing, at the end of the valley, without any traffic or noise, allows you to get to know South Tyrol's nature and culture in a very special way and to spend a relaxing break in rhythm with the seasons. Eine Familie, eine Leidenschaft und das Jaufental!
Wir blicken zurück - um fast genau 50 Jahre. Das Jaufental blüht durch pure Natur und eine unendliche Ruhe. Zwischendrin der „Sennerhof“, Heimat vom Max, und nebenan das geerbte Grundstück. Max lernt seine Trudi kennen und voller Leidenschaft wird dort im Jahre 1972 eine kleine Pension eröffnet.
Die Freude im Umgang mit den Gästen ist groß. Grund genug, um kurz nach der Eröffnung weitere Zimmer und Ferienwohnungen in der Residenz, dem alten Schulhaus vom Jaufental anzubieten. Im Jahr 2000 wird der Bau des Schwimmbades und der Wellnesslandschaft in Auftrag gegeben.
Im Jahr 2005 kommt ein weiteres Herzstück zum Betrieb: Dunja, die älteste Tochter der beiden Eheleute. „Gott sei Dank“ lernt sie bald ihren Flori kennen und lieben. Flori, der das Küchenteam führt! Das Team ist jetzt perfekt.
Bald schon wird neu investiert: der Speisesaal, die BergWellness, Zimmer/Suiten, Hotelfassade, Empfang, Rezeption, Bar und Lounge; in den letzten zwei Jahren der große Bau von Tiefgarage und dem neuen AMBROS mit Zimmer und Suiten!
DAS AMBROS, ausgestattet mit heimischen Materialien, Marmor vom Unterland, Holz aus dem Vinschgau. Alle Panorama-Fenster bieten einen faszinierenden Ausblick auf die umliegende Bergwelt vom Jaufental. Verkleidet mit 920 Baumstämmen und das alles in Lärche!
