THE AMBROS is the new heart of the Jaufentalerhof – a place that uniquely combines tradition, nature and modern comfort.
Connected to the main building via an underground passage, THE AMBROS blends seamlessly into the existing complex whilst creating space for a whole new holiday experience.

Why the name AMBROS?
Ambros was the great-grandfather of Dunja’s dad, Max. Born at the Sennerhof – right next to today’s hotel and also Max’s home – he laid the foundations for what has grown into today’s establishment with great diligence and passion. Together with his wife Trudi, he bought the former schoolhouse and converted it into a residence.
What Ambros and Max created should not only be remembered, but also carried on with respect. Thus, his legacy lives on in the new building – not only in its name, but also in its distinctive features: large, powerful and striking.
The distinctive features of the AMBROS
The facade
...is constructed from solid larch logs, whilst sustainable recycled concrete was deliberately chosen for the building’s construction. Despite these robust materials, the architecture appears harmoniously embedded in the natural surroundings – almost as if it were part of them.
Light and almost floating
...the climate house rises above the valley and, thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass façades, offers a view that quickly becomes a habit – if not a passion.
Just as intensely as nature can be experienced outside, it can also be felt inside:
Larch wood from the Val Senales, fine marble from Lasa in the Val Venosta and other natural materials characterise the floors and furnishings, creating an atmosphere of authentic cosiness.
